Jobot is recruiting a Construction Defect & Personal Injury Defense Attorney for a fully remote position with a well-established and highly regarded defense litigation firm based in San Diego, San Diego County. This is a full-time role requiring an active California State Bar license.

About the Role

Join a premier California defense firm recognized for providing strong representation to clients in complex construction defect and personal injury litigation across the state. As a Construction Defect & Personal Injury Defense Attorney, you'll provide comprehensive legal representation to defendants facing construction-related claims and personal injury lawsuits. Working 100% remotely from anywhere in California, you'll own a meaningful caseload, develop defense strategies, and advance cases toward favorable outcomes through settlement or trial.

What You'll Do

• Manage construction defect defense cases from initial intake through resolution
• Defend clients in personal injury litigation across a range of claim types
• Conduct thorough discovery, depositions, and legal research
• Draft motions, legal briefs, and comprehensive trial materials
• Evaluate liability exposure and assess the strengths and weaknesses of construction-related claims
• Coordinate with expert witnesses, engineers, and insurance carriers
• Represent clients in settlement negotiations and court proceedings
• Provide strategic legal judgment on case development and risk management

What We're Looking For

• Active California State Bar license (required)
• Established experience in construction defect defense or personal injury litigation
• Substantive knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and common claim patterns
• Strong legal writing skills and persuasive oral advocacy ability
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases independently in a remote environment
• Professional judgment and integrity in all client and peer relationships
• Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software
