Dough Preparation Laborer – 2nd Shift

Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe seeks a full-time Dough Preparation Laborer for 2nd shift work in Chambersburg, Franklin County. This year-round role is essential to our multi-facility pastry production operation, where precision in dough preparation drives the quality our customers expect.

About the Role

As a Dough Preparation Laborer on the 2nd shift, you'll be a key member of our production team, handling the preparation, mixing, and management of dough for our line of pastry products. You'll work in a fast-paced bakery environment where attention to detail, consistency, and efficiency directly support our reputation for quality baked goods.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, measure, and mix dough ingredients according to standardized recipes and production specifications
• Operate dough-making equipment and hand-mixing tools safely and effectively
• Monitor dough consistency, temperature, and fermentation quality throughout the preparation process
• Transport and organize prepared dough batches for handoff to production stages
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in preparation areas and all equipment
• Follow food safety protocols and company production guidelines with precision
• Coordinate with your 2nd shift team to meet daily production targets

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work accurately with measurements and recipes
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods during a shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety standards
• Reliability and willingness to maintain a consistent 2nd shift schedule
• Previous food production or bakery experience (preferred but not required)
• Team-oriented mindset and effective communication skills

Compensation

This full-time position offers $22.06 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential for 2nd shift work, with time-and-a-half pay on Saturday and Sunday shifts.
