About the Role

Join our Power Systems Engineering Consulting team and shape the future of clean energy infrastructure. As a Managing Consultant in Energy Markets, you'll lead analytical and strategic initiatives that accelerate renewable energy deployment, battery storage integration, and emerging green fuel technologies. Working with developers, utilities, system operators, and project sponsors, you'll translate complex energy market dynamics into actionable insights that advance grid modernization and decarbonization goals across the Southeast and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Analyze energy market structures, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks to identify opportunities for renewable and storage asset development
• Lead integrated modeling and simulation of grid-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects to optimize technical performance and financial viability
• Support utility clients in resource planning, strategic procurement, and transition strategies for distributed generation and microgrids
• Develop business cases and market assessments for emerging green hydrogen and alternative fuel initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feasibility studies, economic assessments, and regulatory compliance evaluations
• Travel up to 25% to client sites for project delivery and stakeholder engagement

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree in engineering, economics, business, or related field; or equivalent professional experience in energy markets consulting
• Demonstrated expertise in power systems analysis, wholesale energy markets, or utility strategic planning
• Strong analytical and modeling skills; proficiency with energy market simulation software is a plus
• Ability to synthesize complex technical and regulatory information for diverse stakeholder audiences
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
• Willingness to travel regionally and work collaboratively with distributed teams
