About the Role

As a Senior Sanctions & Financial Systems Specialist at Guidehouse, you will operate within our Management Consulting practice, evaluating complex requests tied to transactions that are typically restricted under existing OFAC sanctions frameworks. This is a Washington, D.C.-based position that requires occasional travel and demands sharp analytical judgment applied to high-stakes financial and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and assess applications for exceptions, licenses, and authorizations that permit activities otherwise prohibited under current U.S. Treasury OFAC sanctions programs.
• Investigate and interpret a broad spectrum of financial, commercial, and business data to inform compliance determinations.
• Provide well-reasoned recommendations that align with federal sanctions policy and regulatory requirements.
• Support client objectives through rigorous review of transaction requests and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• An active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required for this position.
• Demonstrated experience in sanctions compliance, financial analysis, or related regulatory advisory work.
• Strong ability to analyze financial and business information and translate findings into sound, defensible conclusions.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed to fulfill role responsibilities.
• Background in management consulting or a comparable professional services environment is advantageous.
