Guidehouse is seeking a Technical SETA SME - Communications to join our team in West Bethesda, Montgomery County. This is a full-time position requiring an active Top Secret SCI security clearance with polygraph.
About the Role
As a Technical SETA (Science, Engineering, Technical Assistance) Subject Matter Expert in Communications, you will serve as a critical technical advisor and liaison across program teams. You will support the end-to-end lifecycle of communications engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment, coordination, and effective information flow among stakeholders. This role involves travel up to 10% of the time to attend program meetings, technical workshops, industry conferences, and testing events.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on communications engineering matters across all program phases
- Coordinate and monitor technical activities, ensuring integration of communications solutions with broader program objectives
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, leadership, and external partners at conferences, workshops, and testing events
- Support the assessment, evaluation, and optimization of communications systems and protocols
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and briefing materials for program stakeholders
- Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations
- Identify technical gaps, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
What We're Looking For
- Active Top Secret SCI security clearance with polygraph (required)
- Demonstrated expertise in communications engineering or related technical field
- Proven experience as a subject matter expert or technical advisor in a program or systems environment
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with program coordination, technical integration, and lifecycle management
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for conferences, workshops, and testing events
