Website and Graphic Design Lead with Security Clearance

Guidehouse, a leading global consulting firm, is looking for a talented Website and Graphic Design Lead to join our Human-Centered Design team in support of a Department of State client. This full-time opportunity is based in Arlington County and requires an active Secret security clearance.

About the Role

As Website and Graphic Design Lead, you'll take ownership of design strategy and execution for a critical government client. You'll lead the visual and user experience direction across web platforms and design deliverables, applying evidence-based design principles and structured methodologies to solve complex organizational challenges. This role bridges strategic planning with hands-on creative work, allowing you to shape both the direction and execution of design initiatives that drive mission impact.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and visual strategy for web platforms and digital experiences, translating organizational objectives into compelling, intuitive user experiences
• Develop and implement content strategy frameworks that align with human-centered design best practices
• Oversee graphic design, layout, and visual communication across multiple deliverables and formats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, strategists, and developers to ensure design integrity throughout execution
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions
• Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and systems to ensure consistency and scalability across deliverables

What We're Looking For

• Proven expertise in website design, graphic design, or user experience design for complex projects
• Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in design strategy and visual execution
• Deep understanding of human-centered design methodologies and their practical application
• Demonstrated experience developing content strategy and information architecture
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools and software
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Active Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
• Experience working with government or public-sector clients is a plus
