About the Role
Central Admixture Pharmacy (CAPS), part of the B. Braun Group of Companies, manufactures specialized sterile injectable preparations for healthcare systems and pharmacies across the United States. As a Pharmacy Technician focused on Sterile IV Compounding, you'll contribute to a mission where precision, regulatory compliance, and patient safety are paramount. Your work directly impacts the quality and safety of medications delivered to patients in care settings nationwide.
What You'll Do
- Prepare sterile intravenous solutions and injectable medications using aseptic technique in controlled cleanroom environments
- Verify and label compounded IV preparations in accordance with USP <797> standards and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate specialized compounding equipment and automated systems with precision and consistency
- Perform quality control checks and maintain detailed records of all compounded preparations
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy staff, quality assurance, and clinical teams to ensure accurate, timely medication delivery
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory and track ingredient supplies
- Follow rigorous infection control and workplace safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- Valid Pharmacy Technician certification or current state licensure in Florida, or demonstrated eligibility to obtain
- Experience with or genuine interest in sterile IV compounding and injectable medication preparation
- Strong commitment to regulatory compliance, patient safety, and quality standards
- Ability to work full-time on a rotating schedule including weekends, with 5x8-hour shifts
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational ability, and strong communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-focused pharmacy environment
