Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Data Analytics Mentor to lead interactive workshops and mentor students through our Data Essentials program. You'll teach practical data literacy fundamentals — from understanding and interpreting datasets to creating clear visualizations and presenting insights effectively. Working with both in-person and online learners, you'll help students build confidence in working with data and equip them with the analytical skills needed for informed, evidence-based decision-making. This role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives in creating an inspiring learning environment while staying current with modern trends in data analytics and emerging technologies like AI applications for data work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging workshops — both in-person and online — using a structured curriculum that balances theory, real-world examples, and hands-on practice.
• Share your professional knowledge and field experience, demonstrating practical applications of data analytics in business scenarios.
• Mentor and support students throughout their learning journey, building their confidence and helping them master core data skills using spreadsheets and data visualization tools.
• Cultivate an open, collaborative learning environment that encourages active participation, peer learning, and critical thinking about data and AI's role in modern work.
• Stay informed of industry trends and evolving best practices, continuously integrating new knowledge, tools, and methodologies into your instruction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a data analyst or in a related analytical role.
• Strong expertise in data analysis, visualization tools, and spreadsheet applications.
• Experience mentoring, training, or teaching others in technical or professional skills.
• Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
• Familiarity with current data analytics practices and emerging tools like AI for productivity and insights discovery.
• Ability to work independently and self-manage as a freelance mentor.
