Concrete Superintendent – Eastern District

Kiewit is seeking a Concrete Superintendent – Eastern District to lead and oversee all concrete operations from the field in Kansas City, Wyandotte County. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring our self-perform concrete work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

About the Role

As Concrete Superintendent for the Eastern District, you'll direct field crews managing concrete production and placement for Transportation projects. You'll be the key leader ensuring every operation—from planning through completion—runs safely, on schedule, and to specification.

What You'll Do

• Plan and coordinate concrete operations, including crew assignments, equipment deployment, and material logistics
• Oversee safety protocols and regulatory compliance across all concrete work activities
• Monitor quality control and workmanship to meet contract specifications and client expectations
• Manage daily schedules, timelines, and productivity targets for concrete crews
• Communicate with project management, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure seamless coordination
• Report on progress, costs, and any issues to project leadership

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing concrete operations or leading construction field crews
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, and quality standards
• Familiarity with construction safety requirements and OSHA regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to read plans, manage schedules, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
