Concrete Superintendent-Traveling

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent-Traveling to lead concrete operations and field teams across multiple jobsites in Impact, Taylor County. This full-time, mid-level position in our Southwest District puts you at the center of transportation infrastructure construction, where your expertise directly shapes project success.

About the Role

As a Concrete Superintendent with Kiewit, you'll manage all facets of concrete work on assigned projects, traveling between jobsites to oversee execution, maintain standards, and drive teams toward completion. You'll combine hands-on field knowledge with leadership to direct crews, coordinate with other trades, solve real-time challenges, and ensure every pour meets specification. This role demands someone comfortable with mobility—you'll adapt quickly to different sites, conditions, and project phases within your district while staying accountable for quality and schedule.

What You'll Do

• Direct concrete operations from mobilization through finishing, overseeing material control, placement sequencing, and curing protocols
• Hire, train, supervise, and develop concrete crews; hold team members accountable to safety and performance standards
• Perform quality inspections, conduct testing, and verify workmanship against technical specifications and project requirements
• Create and manage daily schedules; coordinate workflow with other disciplines and communicate progress to project leadership
• Monitor equipment utilization, identify maintenance needs, and track costs to maximize efficiency and profitability
• Identify and resolve field obstacles—weather delays, material shortages, scope changes—with speed and sound judgment
• Maintain comprehensive records, track metrics, and report status to management consistently

What We're Looking For

• Minimum several years of hands-on concrete superintending or equivalent field supervision experience
• Deep technical knowledge of concrete mix design, placement, finishing, testing, and durability principles
• Proven ability to lead, train, and hold accountable diverse construction crews in dynamic field environments
• Solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations, jobsite hazard recognition, and accident prevention
• Strong written and verbal communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
• Comfort traveling regularly between project locations within your assigned district
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
