About the Role

As a Senior Recruiter at Chemring Energetic Devices, you'll lead our talent acquisition efforts, identifying and recruiting top-tier professionals for roles across engineering, operations, and specialized technical functions. Working from our Downers Grove headquarters in DuPage County, you'll partner with hiring managers across the organization to understand talent needs, develop sourcing strategies, and guide candidates through our hiring process with professionalism and care.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to fill critical positions in a fast-growing defense and aerospace company
• Source passive and active candidates through industry networks, professional associations, and targeted outreach
• Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess fit, experience, and qualifications
• Collaborate with department leaders to refine job descriptions and identify must-have competencies
• Manage candidate relationships throughout the hiring pipeline with transparency and responsiveness
• Participate in employer branding activities to attract mission-driven talent
• Track recruitment metrics and report on hiring progress and pipeline health

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional recruiting experience, ideally in technical, engineering, or defense industry roles
• Proven ability to identify and attract specialized talent in competitive markets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools
• Self-directed approach to problem-solving and relationship building
• Understanding of or interest in defense, aerospace, or manufacturing sectors
