Certified Languages is hiring a Gujarati Remote Interpreter to provide over‑the‑phone language support for clients across the United States.

About the Role

As a Gujarati Remote Interpreter, you will facilitate clear communication between English‑speaking professionals and Gujarati‑speaking individuals who have limited English proficiency. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from any location within the U.S. while maintaining a professional, distraction‑free environment.

What You'll Do

• Answer inbound calls promptly and deliver accurate consecutive interpretation in Gujarati and English.
• Adhere to Certified Languages’ quality standards, confidentiality policies, and industry best practices.
• Manage call documentation, including session notes and any required reporting, in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on terminology, cultural nuances, and procedural updates.
• Escalate complex situations to supervisory staff when needed, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance.

What We're Looking For

• Native or near‑native fluency in both Gujarati and English, with strong listening and speaking skills.
• Proven experience as a telephonic or video remote interpreter, preferably in healthcare, legal, or social‑service settings.
• Ability to interpret impartially while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics and standards such as those set by the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) or equivalent.
• Reliable high‑speed internet connection, a quiet workspace, and the necessary equipment (headset, computer).
• Authorization to work in the United States.
