What This Role Involves
As an Indonesian Remote Interpreter, you'll deliver accurate, culturally competent interpretation services to organizations nationwide that serve Indonesian-speaking populations and Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers. Working from home, you'll handle real-time interpretation across healthcare, legal, government, business, and community settings—ensuring clear communication in high-stakes situations where precision matters.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide telephonic interpretation in Indonesian and English across diverse industries
- Deliver accurate, neutral interpretation while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Adapt interpretation style to match the context and needs of each call—medical terminology, legal proceedings, social services, or business communications
- Manage multiple interpreting requests throughout your shift with professionalism and time management
- Meet quality standards and client expectations on every assignment
- Build rapport with repeat clients while maintaining professional boundaries
Requirements
- Fluent bilingual proficiency in Indonesian and English (spoken and comprehension)
- Proven ability to interpret accurately and convey meaning across cultural contexts
- Reliable internet connection and quiet home workspace for remote interpreting
- Professional demeanor, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to work full-time hours including flexibility for scheduling
- US-based location required
