As a Respiratory Therapist II with our organization, you'll deliver specialized respiratory care across various care settings. This part-time, night shift position offers the opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise during essential evening and overnight hours when experienced respiratory support is critically needed.
What You'll Do
- Assess patient respiratory status through clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing
- Operate and manage mechanical ventilators and support equipment
- Manage airways and perform airway clearance techniques
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient care documentation
- Ensure equipment functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care protocols
- Respond to clinical emergencies and acute respiratory situations
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program
- Current South Carolina State Board of Medical Examiners respiratory therapy license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Prior clinical respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication abilities
- Comfort working night shift schedules in fast-paced care environments
