Maintenance Supervisor – Melina Sarasota

Greystar Management Services seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage operations, lead maintenance staff, and ensure peak facility performance at our Sarasota, Manatee County property. This full-time position offers the opportunity to oversee building systems, coordinate preventive maintenance, and deliver the operational excellence our residents depend on.

About the Role

As Maintenance Supervisor for this residential community in Sarasota, you'll direct day-to-day facility operations while supervising a dedicated maintenance team. You'll balance hands-on problem-solving with team leadership, ensuring all building systems function reliably and every maintenance request receives prompt, professional attention.

What You'll Do

• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians and support staff
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules across all building systems
• Address resident maintenance requests with responsiveness and attention to detail
• Oversee budgeting, procurement, and tracking of maintenance expenses
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment service history
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and prevent potential problems
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services

What We're Looking For

• Verified experience in a Maintenance Supervisor or senior maintenance role
• Solid working knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical operations
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Capacity to manage competing priorities and work independently
• Physical capability to perform or direct maintenance tasks
• Familiarity with property management software or systems preferred
• Trade certifications (EPA, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing) a valuable asset
