About the Role
As a Day Time Caregiver with Safe Harbor Home Care, you'll provide direct personal care services to clients who need support maintaining their independence and quality of life. Working full-time, you'll earn $20–$23 per hour depending on your experience and availability, with weekly pay and the flexibility to choose shifts that work for your schedule. Your work will make a tangible difference in clients' daily routines while you grow your skills in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist clients with personal care activities including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support meal preparation and assist with eating when needed
- Help with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Provide companionship and emotional support throughout the day
- Maintain a clean, safe home environment for clients
- Document care provided and communicate with family members and supervisors
- Respond compassionately to client needs and report any concerns
What We're Looking For
- Genuine compassion and patience working with vulnerable individuals
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout San Diego County
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely (physical capability required)
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
- Trustworthiness and integrity in a client's home environment
- Previous caregiving or home care experience is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
