Senior Trade Compliance Investigator

Honeywell is hiring a Senior Trade Compliance Investigator in Charlotte, NC to lead investigations that protect our organization's regulatory standing and ethical reputation. As a skilled compliance professional, you'll directly impact how we identify, investigate, and resolve trade compliance risks across our global operations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Investigations. You'll work on a hybrid schedule with office locations in Charlotte, NC; Houston, TX; Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; or Chicago, IL. You'll be instrumental in our compliance and ethics function, ensuring Honeywell meets all regulatory obligations while fostering accountability and integrity across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Lead investigations into potential trade compliance violations, export control breaches, and regulatory concerns
• Examine trade documentation, transactional records, and compliance data to detect risk patterns and violations
• Design and execute investigation strategies that meet regulatory standards and company policy
• Prepare comprehensive investigation reports documenting findings, analysis, and corrective recommendations
• Partner with legal, ethics, operations, and business teams to address compliance gaps and prevent recurrence
• Monitor changes in trade regulations, export controls, and sanctions requirements affecting our business
• Contribute to compliance awareness programs and training initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in trade compliance, export controls, investigations, or regulatory compliance
• Strong command of U.S. trade law, export regulations, and sanctions compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent investigations of complex compliance matters
• Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking capabilities
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills
• Hands-on experience with compliance systems and investigative tools
• Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards
• Ability to communicate clearly across functions and organizational levels
