Honeywell seeks a Sr Legal Operations Specialist, Legal Transformation Project Manager to lead strategic improvement initiatives within our Corporate Legal function, based in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County. This full-time role bridges legal operations excellence with transformational change management, driving process modernization and operational efficiency across global legal teams.
Role Overview
As a Sr Legal Operations Specialist focused on legal transformation, you will drive enterprise-scale projects that reshape how Honeywell's legal organization delivers value. You'll identify operational friction points, design solutions, and shepherd initiatives from conception through successful implementation. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to champion change within a complex, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement legal process optimization initiatives that reduce cycle time, lower cost, and improve service quality
- Establish governance frameworks and oversight structures for legal transformation projects, ensuring alignment with Corporate Legal strategy
- Develop standard operating procedures, project charters, and communication plans to support legal operations initiatives
- Support financial operations and budget management for legal function activities and transformation investments
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement to gather requirements, address concerns, and build alignment during organizational changes
- Lead or contribute to global operating model initiatives that enhance collaboration and consistency across legal regions and practice groups
- Track project progress, maintain documentation, and communicate status updates to senior legal leadership
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal operations, process improvement, or project management experience in a corporate legal environment or similar function
- Demonstrated expertise in process mapping, workflow optimization, and change management methodologies
- Strong project management discipline with ability to manage complex timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with legal operations technology platforms and enterprise software systems preferred
