Advanced Data Scientist

Honeywell is seeking an Advanced Data Scientist to join our Data Science engineering team in Pittsford, Monroe County. In this full-time position, you'll architect and deploy sophisticated analytical solutions that power next-generation AI and machine learning applications across our organization.

About the Role

You'll be a key contributor to Honeywell's data science mission, bridging in-house innovation and external technology integration. This role combines hands-on model development, rigorous third-party solution evaluation, and production deployment of advanced analytics that drive real business impact. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge machine learning research and practical engineering implementation.

What You'll Do

• Architect and build proprietary data science solutions tailored to Honeywell's engineering needs
• Evaluate and integrate leading third-party analytical platforms and machine learning frameworks
• Develop, validate, and deploy state-of-the-art AI models using modern techniques and best practices
• Apply advanced data mining methods to uncover actionable insights from complex, large-scale datasets
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate analytical discoveries into production applications
• Drive innovation in specialized domains, including physical access control system optimization through machine learning

What We're Looking For

• Advanced proficiency in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data science methodologies
• Demonstrated track record designing and implementing scalable data science systems
• Expert-level programming skills in Python, R, or equivalent data science languages
• Hands-on experience evaluating, selecting, and integrating third-party analytics and ML platforms
• Proven expertise deploying machine learning models to production environments
• Strong knowledge of data mining techniques and their real-world applications
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus
