About the Role
Sweet Express LLC is seeking motivated CDL-A drivers in Kansas, Wyandotte County who are ready to take ownership of their careers through our lease purchase program with MTE Leasing. This full-time, over-the-road (OTR) opportunity lets you operate a dry van while working toward truck ownership, giving you greater control over your schedule and your earnings. If you have been hauling freight for someone else and want a clear path to running your own operation, this position puts you in the driver's seat.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport dry van freight over the road across assigned OTR routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance.
- Operate within all federal, state, and DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs and required documentation for each load.
- Communicate consistently with dispatch to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Manage your equipment responsibly as you work toward full truck ownership.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Verifiable over-the-road driving experience.
- Clean driving record and commitment to safe operating practices.
- Interest in a lease purchase pathway toward becoming an owner-operator.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to handle the responsibilities of extended OTR travel.
