Montauk ONP is hiring a full-time General Manager to lead operations and guest experiences at our premier destination in Salem, Dent County, Missouri. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape how visitors connect with one of the state's most treasured outdoor parks.
Role Overview
As General Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of our park's daily operations, from guest hospitality to staff leadership to facility management. You'll be the driving force behind creating memorable experiences for visitors who come to enjoy our trout streams, hiking trails, and natural scenery. This position serves as the operational and strategic leader for the entire venue.
Responsibilities
- Direct all park operations, guest services, and staff management to ensure a high-quality visitor experience
- Lead and develop a team of hospitality and maintenance professionals
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation
- Oversee facility maintenance, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and coordinate recreational programs, events, and seasonal activities
- Build relationships with local community, partners, and stakeholders
- Monitor guest satisfaction and implement continuous improvements
- Ensure all operations meet Missouri state park standards and best practices
What You Bring
- Significant leadership experience in hospitality, tourism, parks, or recreation management
- Proven track record managing guest-facing operations and delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills
- Experience building, leading, and motivating teams in a service-oriented environment
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Passion for outdoor recreation, natural resource stewardship, and creating community gathering spaces
- Familiarity with Missouri state park operations, regulations, or similar public land management is a plus
