Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential renewable energy organization in Central Europe, is seeking a Working Student to support their finance team with daily operations across multiple entities. You will gain hands-on experience in operational accounting, closing procedures, audit support, and cross-border financial coordination in an international environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Support day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for Central European entities
  • Maintain financial records with a high level of accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits
  • Coordinate with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth cross-border financial workflows
  • Support compliance with internal accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements
  • Apply and further develop your understanding of HGB in practical accounting processes

What We're Looking For

  • Currently studying Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Strong foundation in double-entry bookkeeping and general financial principles
  • Solid HGB knowledge
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken, with business-fluent communication skills in both languages
  • Comfortable working with German tax and accounting documents and participating in English-speaking regional meetings
  • Reliable, diligent, and highly detail-oriented working style
  • Take ownership of tasks and treat accuracy as a non-negotiable standard
  • Willingness to work on-site in the office in Berlin, as face-to-face collaboration is essential for learning the nuances of Central European accounting
