Working Student Export Control & Trade Compliance (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential defense technology organization seeking a Working Student in Export Control & Trade Compliance to join their team in Munich. In this role, you will support the integration of national and international export control requirements into daily business processes.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Answering day-to-day questions from departments such as sales, procurement, and logistics regarding export control-relevant workflows and verification steps
• Actively supporting the preparation and development of export license applications with the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA)
• Conducting research prior to planned exports on export licenses, sanctions, goods classifications, and country-specific restrictions
• Analyzing and documenting past export and customs data for risk analysis and preparation of internal and external audits
• Creating, reviewing, and independently managing end-use certificates for customers, suppliers, and authorities

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Current enrollment as a student in Business Law, Law, Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, or a comparable field
• Basic understanding of or strong interest in German and European export control law, particularly AWG/AWV and the EU Dual-Use Regulation
• Enjoyment in communicating complex regulations clearly and supporting colleagues in a solution-oriented manner
• Very careful, structured, and independent working style
• Fluent German language skills and very good English proficiency

Preferred qualifications:

• Initial practical experience in export control, customs, compliance, or foreign trade through internships or working student positions
