Working Student Application Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential computer vision software company in Munich that is seeking a Working Student Application Software Engineer. Our client develops advanced video analytics solutions and works with customers across transportation and smart city sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience bridging technical development and customer success in a growth-stage technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Support customer engagement by understanding technical needs and use cases for the analytics platform
• Work with engineering teams to translate customer feedback into actionable product requirements
• Provide hands-on technical support during product demos, workshops, and customer onboarding sessions
• Partner with sales and engineering teams on technical enablement activities
• Help identify new feature opportunities based on user data and customer insights

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field with at least 2 semesters remaining
• Practical experience with SQL, Python, and APIs/SDKs through projects, internships, or coursework
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving mindset focused on user success
• Fluency in both English and German (C1 level minimum)
• Availability to work up to 20 hours per week during semester (flexible during breaks)

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Docker or Linux environments
• Understanding of computer vision or AI applications
• Experience in startup or fast-paced tech environments
• Proficiency with modern development workflows including AI coding assistants
• Strong foundation in Git version control and CI/CD pipelines
