Wireless Networking Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential robotics technology company seeking a Wireless Networking Engineer to join their R&D team in Wasquehal, France. This role focuses on the connectivity layer that powers an autonomous mobile robot fleet, working at the intersection of robotics, WiFi, networking, software, and system performance.

As a Wireless Networking Engineer, you will design, monitor, analyze, and improve the wireless connectivity solution used by the robot fleet. You will investigate, diagnose, and optimize WiFi infrastructure and TCP/IP network resources in large-scale deployments where hundreds of mobile robots continuously navigate within a wireless infrastructure while maintaining reliable, low-latency communication with backend services.

Your work will directly impact fleet performance, system availability, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Design, supervise, and optimize WiFi connectivity for autonomous mobile robots
• Analyze and resolve network performance issues including WiFi, TCP/IP, roaming, latency, packet loss, and RF interference
• Develop diagnostic tools, monitoring methodologies, and performance analysis frameworks
• Improve communication reliability for autonomous robots in collaboration with Software and Systems teams
• Define KPIs and strategies for fleet connectivity supervision
• Participate in the development of embedded connectivity software layers using C/C++
• Design and execute test and validation campaigns in laboratory and field environments
• Provide advanced network expertise during client investigations and deployments

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree (Bac+5) or equivalent in computer science, telecommunications, networking, embedded systems, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in networking, wireless communications, embedded systems, or similar domains
• Excellent command of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards, specifically 802.11ac (WiFi 5), 802.11ax (WiFi 6), WPA2/WPA3
• Experience diagnosing complex network problems using packet capture and protocol analysis tools
• Proficiency in Linux environments
• Experience with network performance testing, observability, and monitoring systems
• Strong interest in understanding system behavior in real-world environments
• Ability to work across software, network, and hardware aspects
• Data-driven problem-solving approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, highly collaborative engineering organization
• French language skills preferred for this location
