Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential clean energy organization seeking a working student to support their Policy & Regulatory Affairs team. In this role, you will:
- Monitor ongoing legislative processes at federal and EU levels and analyze their impact on products and customers
- Independently track individual policy dossiers and keep the team informed of developments
- Research and contribute to position papers and official statements—from reviewing legislative texts to drafting final language
- Prepare meetings with members of parliament, ministries, and industry associations; attend these meetings and document outcomes
- Support coalition-building efforts with other companies in the sector
- Expand the stakeholder database and develop monitoring tools
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled at a German university in Political Science, Law, Economics, Energy Policy, or a related field with at least two semesters remaining
- Availability of approximately 20 hours per week during term time, and up to 40 hours per week during semester breaks
- Prior experience in political advocacy or public affairs and understanding of the legislative process
- Eagerness to work with complex legal and regulatory texts and interest in the technical and economic aspects of the energy transition, not just the political dimension
- Structured, reliable, and independent work style with strong research skills and attention to source verification
- Clear, strong writing skills in German and ability to work through English-language EU documentation
- Comfort with tools and automation to streamline repetitive tasks
- Confident and professional communication in German and English; negotiation-level proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, or Swedish is a plus
