About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization in their search for a working student to support policy and regulatory affairs. This is an opportunity to contribute to the energy transition while gaining hands-on experience in political advocacy and legislative monitoring at both national and EU levels.

Our client is building integrated energy solutions and needs support tracking regulatory developments that impact their products and customers. You'll work closely with their policy team in Berlin, with flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing legislative processes at federal and EU levels, analyzing implications for products and customers
• Independently track specific policy dossiers and keep the team informed of relevant developments
• Research and contribute to position papers and statements, from reviewing legislative texts to drafting language
• Prepare for meetings with legislators, ministries, and industry associations; attend meetings and document outcomes
• Support coalition-building efforts with other organizations in the sector
• Expand stakeholder databases and develop monitoring tools

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled at a German university for at least two more semesters in politics, law, economics, energy policy, or related field
• Available approximately 20 hours per week during semester, up to 40 hours during semester breaks
• Previous experience in political advocacy or government affairs; understanding of legislative processes
• Willingness to engage with complex legal texts and regulations, with interest in both technical and economic aspects of energy transition
• Structured, reliable, and independent working style; thorough approach to research and source verification
• Strong German writing skills; comfortable working through English-language EU documents
• Interest in using tools and automation to improve efficiency
• Confident presence in German and English; proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, or Swedish is a plus
