About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential medical technology organization in their search for a working student to support their legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student to gain hands-on experience in contract management, data protection, and commercial legal work within a fast-growing international company.
Responsibilities
- Review vendor contracts against standard criteria and escalate complex matters to senior legal counsel while processing routine approvals independently
- Organize and maintain the contract repository by classifying vendors, establishing filing structures, and ensuring proper documentation management
- Support data protection compliance efforts including reviewing data processing agreements, maintaining processing records, and identifying personal data handling requirements
- Draft and manage partnership agreements with student organizations from initial drafting through signature
- Assist with civil law and intellectual property matters including trademark, copyright, and content usage questions
- Develop capabilities to independently handle straightforward B2B matters over time
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a German law programme, 5th semester or beyond
- German language skills at C2 level and English at C1 or above
- Interest in or exposure to data protection law (GDPR expertise not required)
- Background or genuine interest in civil law and intellectual property law
- Structured and reliable work approach with strong attention to detail
- Clear, precise legal writing skills for contract drafting and review
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate matters to senior team members
- Good judgment regarding decision-making authority and comfortable asking questions when needed
- Curiosity about how legal work supports commercial business operations
- Based in or able to work from Berlin
