Werkstudent Produktentwicklung (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sports equipment company based in Münster, Germany. Our client is seeking a working student (Werkstudent) to join their product development team, where you'll contribute to the design and refinement of functional sports products used by athletes worldwide.

This is a hands-on role combining CAD work, prototype building, and direct collaboration with international manufacturers. You'll have the opportunity to lead small projects from concept through to production order, working in a pragmatic, feedback-driven environment that values initiative over hierarchy.

Working model: 15-20 hours per week across at least 3 days, on-site in Münster.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and optimization of sports products from design through prototype stages
• Create and revise assembly and setup instructions for end users
• Produce CAD sketches and technical drawings for product documentation
• Build and physically test products and prototypes to identify improvements
• Participate in product testing cycles and document technical findings
• Prepare technical specifications and product data for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with the product development team and international manufacturing partners
• Own small product development projects end-to-end, including liaison with suppliers

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related program with product development focus
• Practical experience with CAD software and ability to interpret technical drawings with attention to detail
• Hands-on mentality—comfortable building, testing, and iterating physical prototypes
• Quick learner who adapts easily to new products and technical challenges
• Structured, careful, and independent working style
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with solution-oriented approach
• Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken)
• Interest in calisthenics or functional training is a plus
