About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential marketing agency in Berlin seeking a working student (Werkstudent) for online marketing and PR activities. This is not your typical student marketing role of filling reports and creating slides—you'll pitch real campaigns to editors and blogs, secure placements, and track their impact on search visibility.

Our client specializes in creative marketing campaigns, and your work will involve turning their projects into media stories that journalists want to cover. This is a hybrid role based in Berlin-Charlottenburg with flexible remote options.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain press and media contact lists including trade publications, regional press, blogs, and industry associations
• Transform campaign work into PR showcases and pitch them to relevant media outlets
• Pitch guest posts and case studies to targeted publications
• Research and quality-check target publications before outreach
• Track placement results including media mentions, backlinks, and search rankings
• Monitor the effectiveness of secured placements over time

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled university student (fields such as communications, marketing, media, or journalism preferred, though your writing ability matters more than your major)
• Excellent written German with confidence reaching out to strangers via email, LinkedIn, or phone
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing outreach lists with 80+ contacts and clean status tracking
• Basic SEO knowledge is a plus; you should understand what a backlink is (training provided for the rest)
• Good English skills sufficient to pitch to UK-based publications
• Detail-oriented approach to prospecting and placement quality
