In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes that meet the exacting standards of Viking Ocean Cruises. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes using traditional techniques and innovative recipes.
• Ensure all food items are of the highest quality and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus and manage inventory effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and work areas.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years’ experience in a professional kitchen setting, with a focus on sushi preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and ingredient selection.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to follow and implement health and safety guidelines strictly.
