Sr. Electrical Engineer (Battery Storage)

Quanta Services is hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer (Battery Storage) to join Quanta Power Solutions in Meadowbrook, Shelby County, helping power the next generation of energy storage and renewable infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Sr. Electrical Engineer (Battery Storage) at Quanta Services in Meadowbrook, Shelby County, you will play a central role in engineering battery energy storage systems that support large-scale power infrastructure. Working within Quanta Power Solutions, you will help shape complete EPC projects that move from initial concept through final commissioning, contributing your electrical expertise to one of the industry's most integrated power delivery teams. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design and analysis for battery energy storage (BESS) projects from early concept to commissioning.
• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and supporting technical documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary EPC teams across power generation, renewables, transmission, and substation work.
• Review designs for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, and field engineering during construction and start-up.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical challenges and provide senior-level technical guidance to project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Senior-level experience in electrical design, ideally within battery storage, renewables, or power infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and relevant industry codes and standards.
• Proven ability to manage technical deliverables across the full project lifecycle.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working within integrated EPC teams.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus.
