Vice President – People & Culture

About This Opportunity

We are representing a global professional services organization seeking an experienced Vice President of People & Culture to lead their worldwide HR function. This is a remote opportunity based in the United States, reporting directly to executive leadership.

Our client operates across multiple international regions with a workforce exceeding 1,500 employees. They are at an exciting inflection point, requiring a strategic HR leader who can unify people operations, drive organizational transformation, and build scalable capabilities that support continued growth.

This role offers the unique opportunity to serve as the senior-most HR executive, influencing enterprise strategy while leading a global team responsible for HR business partnering, talent acquisition support, compensation and benefits, people operations, and employee experience.

Responsibilities

You will develop and execute a comprehensive global people strategy aligned with business objectives, serving as the primary advisor to executive leadership on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent development.

Strategic Leadership:

• Lead enterprise-wide people transformation initiatives that strengthen organizational capability
• Drive workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development
• Establish competency and skills frameworks supporting career development and capability building
• Oversee annual performance management cycles ensuring consistency and business alignment

People Operations & Experience:

• Lead global people operations and employee support services across the complete employee lifecycle
• Drive process standardization, governance, and technology adoption to enhance employee experience
• Champion a high-performing, inclusive culture through engagement, recognition, and wellbeing initiatives
• Partner with Senior HR Business Partners to deliver strategic coaching to leaders organization-wide

Total Rewards & Compensation:

• Oversee compensation, benefits, and total rewards strategy ensuring competitiveness and equity
• Manage compensation review processes, job architecture, and salary structure governance
• Collaborate with Finance on workforce budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning

Compliance & Governance:

• Establish robust people governance frameworks ensuring global compliance with employment legislation
• Oversee HR compliance programs, audits, policy governance, and risk mitigation
• Provide oversight for health, safety, and employee wellbeing governance

Team Leadership:

• Lead and develop a high-performing global People & Culture team including Senior HR Business Partners and operations leaders
• Leverage people analytics and workforce insights to support strategic decision-making
• Oversee HR technology systems, data quality, privacy, and compliance

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with at least 5 years leading multiple global HR functions
• Proven success leading HR in multi-region organizations of similar scale (1,500-5,000 employees)
• Experience guiding organizations through transition, restructuring, or HR transformation
• Deep knowledge of global employment practices, compliance, and modern talent strategies
• Must have the right to live and work in the United States

Preferred Experience:

• Strong financial acumen and experience partnering with Finance on workforce modeling
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership in lean HR structures
• Background in professional services, technology, shared services, or global matrixed environments
• HR certification such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or global HR credentials

Work Environment:

• Remote-based position within the United States, Monday through Friday
• Primarily operates within Central or Eastern US time zones
• Occasional schedule flexibility required to collaborate with global team members across different regions
