About This Opportunity
We are representing a fast-growing digital marketing agency that specializes in the regulated gaming sector. Our client works with some of the industry's most recognized operators and has recently earned recognition for both service excellence and workplace culture. They need an experienced Paid Search Manager who can take full ownership of client accounts in a high-compliance, high-stakes environment.
This is a remote-first role based in the United Kingdom. You'll manage Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns across a portfolio of gaming clients, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and lead a small team while working closely with senior strategists on campaign development.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day management and optimization of Paid Search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, display, and Performance Max formats
- Conduct daily account audits to identify performance issues and opportunities before clients flag them
- Monitor spend and performance against agreed KPIs, escalating risks proactively
- Maintain regulatory compliance across all campaigns — ad copy, landing pages, geo-targeting, and responsible gambling requirements
- Manage client communication independently, delivering performance reports with strategic commentary
- Collaborate with senior leadership on quarterly reviews and strategic planning
- Line manage and develop up to two junior team members through regular feedback and coaching
- Implement AI-driven workflows to improve campaign efficiency and share insights with the wider team
- Support new business proposals, paid search audits, and industry award submissions
- Keep Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising certifications current
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- 3+ years' experience in Paid Search advertising, preferably in an agency environment
- Strong hands-on expertise with Google Ads — Search, Display, and Performance Max
- Current Google Ads certification
- Proven ability to manage client relationships independently and deliver confident presentations
- Solid campaign planning skills including budgeting, forecasting, and multi-account performance management
- Willingness and ability to line manage and develop junior colleagues
- Autonomous working style with strong prioritization skills
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities with excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable using AI tools to automate processes and improve efficiency
Desirable:
- Microsoft Advertising certification or actively pursuing it
- Experience managing Paid Social campaigns or working knowledge of Meta Ads
- Familiarity with GA4, Looker Studio, or similar reporting platforms
- Experience contributing to agency partner relationships with Google or Microsoft
- Background in gaming, gambling, or other regulated sectors (training provided if needed)
You'll be measured on: Campaign performance against client KPIs, accuracy of spend forecasting and budget management, quality and timeliness of reporting, independent compliance standards, team development outcomes, and deadline adherence.
