UNIX Technology Administrator

About the Role

As a UNIX Technology Administrator at Its Inc, you'll be responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, and optimization of our UNIX and Linux infrastructure. You'll work directly with our technology team to ensure system reliability, security, and performance across our production environments.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain UNIX and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and updates
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls to maintain security standards
• Perform backup and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and infrastructure needs
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes for compliance and knowledge management
• Respond to system alerts and incidents with urgency and technical expertise

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience administering UNIX or Linux systems in a production environment
• Solid understanding of system administration tools, scripting languages, and command-line utilities
• Knowledge of networking, storage, and security best practices
• Experience with system monitoring and log management
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment
