About the Role
As our Tree Care Technician, you'll be the skilled professional our customers depend on to keep their trees healthy, safe, and beautiful. Operating a company vehicle, you'll deliver specialized tree services across the Rochester Hills area, working both independently and as part of our field team. Your certification and attention to detail directly impact customer satisfaction and the long-term health of the properties we serve.
What You'll Do
- Perform expert pruning, trimming, and removal of trees on residential and commercial properties
- Diagnose tree and shrub health issues, identifying signs of disease, pest damage, and environmental stress
- Apply targeted treatments to address pest infestations and tree diseases
- Operate specialized climbing equipment, rigging, and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain company equipment and supplies in proper working condition
- Document completed work and maintain accurate service records
- Communicate directly with customers about their trees' health and recommended care
- Work in varied weather conditions across all seasons
What We're Looking For
- Current tree care or arboriculture certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and regional pest/disease concerns
- Comfort working at heights and with climbing equipment
- Ability to operate power tools, spraying equipment, and specialized machinery
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Attention to detail and commitment to customer service excellence
- Physical capability to perform demanding outdoor work
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and industry best practices
