About the Role

This is a full-time travel occupational therapy position in a skilled nursing setting where you'll deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to patients recovering from acute illness, surgery, or injury. You'll work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to help residents regain functional abilities and prepare for discharge to home or community settings.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and discharge objectives
• Provide hands-on therapy in activities of daily living (ADL), fine motor skills, cognitive training, and adaptive equipment training
• Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, social work, and case management to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Document all therapy sessions, progress notes, and clinical findings in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home safety modifications, and equipment use
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning

What We're Looking For

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical OT experience (travel or facility-based)
• Demonstrated expertise in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or acute care settings
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a 13-week travel assignment
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
