About the Role
As a travel COTA, you'll deliver direct occupational therapy support to residents in our Farmington skilled nursing community. This full-time position requires your state license and commitment to advancing patient independence and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
What You'll Do
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under licensed OT supervision
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including self-care and mobility skills
- Facilitate therapeutic exercises and adaptive equipment training
- Monitor patient progress and communicate status updates to the therapy team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all treatment sessions
- Build therapeutic relationships with residents to encourage engagement and adherence
- Support facility protocols and collaborate with nursing and care staff
What We're Looking For
- Valid COTA certification and state license in Illinois
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain it
- Demonstrated experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings
