About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a credentialed surgical technologist seeking travel contract work. You'll deliver essential perioperative support in a fast-paced surgical environment, working directly with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care and operational efficiency throughout each procedure.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, organize, and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterile field throughout all surgical cases
• Assist surgeons by anticipating needs and passing instruments during operations
• Position patients safely and correctly for optimal surgical access and patient comfort
• Manage specimen handling, labeling, and documentation per facility protocol
• Count all instruments, sponges, and needles to ensure accurate accountability
• Monitor and maintain surgical equipment function and readiness
• Adhere to OSHA standards, facility policies, and infection control procedures

What We're Looking For

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Active licensure or certification in Kansas or valid reciprocity documentation
• Demonstrated experience in surgical technology within an acute care hospital setting
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and anatomy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments
• Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to facility leadership
• Flexible, reliable approach to contract staffing assignments
