About the Role

What You'll Do
- Prepare, organize, and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterile field throughout all surgical cases
- Assist surgeons by anticipating needs and passing instruments during operations
- Position patients safely and correctly for optimal surgical access and patient comfort
- Manage specimen handling, labeling, and documentation per facility protocol
- Count all instruments, sponges, and needles to ensure accurate accountability
- Monitor and maintain surgical equipment function and readiness
- Adhere to OSHA standards, facility policies, and infection control procedures
What We're Looking For
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- Active licensure or certification in Kansas or valid reciprocity documentation
- Demonstrated experience in surgical technology within an acute care hospital setting
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and anatomy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to facility leadership
