As a Maintenance Technician focused on Rural Development properties, you will be the go-to professional responsible for the upkeep and repair of apartment units and common areas across our managed communities in Richlands, Tazewell County. This is a non-exempt, full-time position ideal for a dependable problem-solver who takes pride in quality workmanship and responsive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on residential units and shared building areas.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general carpentry issues.
• Complete resident service requests promptly while delivering courteous, professional support.
• Prepare vacant units for new occupants through cleaning, painting, and necessary repairs.
• Maintain grounds and the overall appearance of the property to community standards.
• Follow safety procedures and help ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in property or facilities maintenance, with broad general repair skills.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance troubleshooting.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage and prioritize multiple work orders.
