About the Role
As a Food Service Worker 1, you'll be essential to our kitchen and cafeteria operations, ensuring that meals meet our facility's food safety standards and regulatory requirements. Working part time, you'll support the preparation and service of nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors across diverse age groups and dietary needs.
What You'll Do
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and portion guidelines
- Perform utility duties such as washing dishes, pots, pans, and food service equipment; maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Support cafeteria operations including serving food, restocking supplies, and maintaining dining areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols as outlined in the facility's Food Service manual
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and food service staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Handle food storage, rotation, and inventory management to minimize waste

- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portion control

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
