National Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week full-time position in Rapid City, South Dakota. Start as soon as possible in a skilled nursing facility setting where you'll make a direct impact on patient recovery and functional independence.
Position Summary
This travel occupational therapy position places you at a skilled nursing facility in the Old Town area of Pennington County. You'll work a consistent 5-day, 40-hour schedule earning $1,604 to $1,852 per week. As a Travel OT, you'll bring your clinical expertise to a short-term assignment, helping patients regain independence and prepare for discharge or transition to community living.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and functional evaluations for patients
- Design and deliver individualized treatment plans addressing physical, cognitive, and behavioral needs
- Lead therapy sessions focused on activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team including nursing, physical therapy, and social work
- Document patient progress, modify interventions, and prepare discharge recommendations
- Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment use
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in South Dakota
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities strongly preferred
- Strong clinical skills in functional assessment and treatment planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Current CPR certification
