About the Role
As Accounts Payable Supervisor, you'll oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and vendor payments. In this leadership position, you'll supervise team members, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to the financial operations that support New York City Ballet's artistic mission.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and mentor accounts payable staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
- Process, review, and approve vendor invoices and expense reports for accuracy
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment inquiries promptly
- Reconcile accounts payable reports and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting procedures
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate records and prepare financial reports as requested
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
