About the Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Sonrisas Therapies, you'll provide in-home pediatric physical therapy services, working collaboratively with licensed physical therapists to support children's developmental and mobility goals. This full-time position offers the flexibility and profound impact of home-based care, with compensation of $28–$45 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to each child's developmental stage and treatment plan
- Monitor patient progress and report findings to supervising physical therapists
- Educate families on exercises and techniques to reinforce therapy at home
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and treatment outcomes
- Travel between homes within assigned service areas across North Austin and surrounding communities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a family environment
What We're Looking For
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure in Texas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
- Ability to work independently in clients' homes while collaborating with the therapy team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout assigned service areas
- Experience in pediatric therapy or pediatric healthcare strongly preferred
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
