About the Role

As a Family Support Services Specialist on the Early Childhood Programs team, you will serve as a trusted point of connection for families navigating new beginnings in the Kent, King County community. Grounded in World Relief's Christian commitment to care for the marginalized and welcome the stranger, this position blends practical case support with compassionate advocacy, ensuring that parents and caregivers have the guidance and resources they need to nurture healthy early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities

• Build supportive, trust-based relationships with families enrolled in early childhood programming.
• Assess family strengths and needs, then connect caregivers to appropriate community resources and services.
• Provide practical guidance that promotes positive early childhood development and family stability.
• Advocate on behalf of vulnerable, displaced, or underserved families across King County.
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in line with program standards.
• Partner with colleagues, volunteers, and local organizations to coordinate wraparound support.

Qualifications

• A heart for serving vulnerable, marginalized, and underserved individuals and families.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Ability to work compassionately with diverse families in a community-based setting.
• Comfort coordinating services, referrals, and follow-up support.
