About the Role
As the Health Services and Third Party Billing Secretary, you will keep daily health office operations running smoothly while managing the documentation and third-party billing functions that connect schools, families, and payers. This clerical role combines accurate recordkeeping with reliable customer service in a school-based setting. The position is available beginning 08/01/2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize student health records, files, and confidential documentation
- Prepare, submit, and track third-party billing claims and reimbursements
- Coordinate communication between health services staff, families, and outside agencies
- Schedule appointments and assist with daily front-desk health office activities
- Compile reports and ensure data is entered accurately and on time
- Provide general clerical and administrative support to the health services team
Qualifications
- Background in administrative support, clerical, or secretarial work, ideally within a health services or educational environment
- Familiarity with third-party billing, insurance claims, or medical billing processes
- Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail
- Comfort with office software, data entry, and recordkeeping systems
- Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities
