What This Role Involves

You'll operate a Class 8 refrigerated tractor-trailer, maintaining strict temperature controls while transporting perishable cargo and specialized freight across the country. This full-time company-driver opportunity is focused on safety, reliability, and meeting delivery windows for time-sensitive shipments. Based in the Orlando area, you'll log consistent weekly mileage on interstate routes with structured support from the Hermes NVC Corp team.

Core Duties

• Safely operate refrigerated commercial trucks across interstate routes, averaging 2,500 to 3,500 miles per week
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment compliance and cargo integrity
• Monitor and maintain proper temperature settings for reefer units throughout each haul
• Adhere to DOT hours-of-service regulations and company safety protocols
• Document logs, delivery confirmations, and mileage records accurately
• Communicate proactively with dispatchers and maintain professional customer interactions
• Report equipment issues and coordinate with support for rapid resolution

What You Bring

• Valid CDL-A with clean driving record and verifiable commercial driving experience
• Minimum 2 years driving experience or equivalent documented work history
• Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation and cargo handling procedures
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
