Minnesota Service Cooperatives is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher (Resource) at Carver Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. Located within the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District, this role offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to students with individualized education needs in a resource setting.
About the Role
In this Special Education Teacher (Resource) position, you'll work directly with students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), delivering targeted, evidence-based instruction both individually and in small groups. Your work will focus on helping students develop academic and functional skills in a dedicated resource setting at Carver Elementary.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct instruction to students with IEPs in reading, mathematics, and other core academic areas
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans aligned with IEP goals and objectives
- Conduct formative assessments and monitor student progress toward annual targets
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning across settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and goal development
- Document student progress and maintain required special education records
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
What We're Looking For
- Valid Minnesota special education teacher license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated instruction
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and support staff

Position Details
Work schedule: 8 hours per day, 194 duty days annually. Start date: Fall 2026. This is a full-time position. Compensation and benefits follow the teacher labor agreement in effect for the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District.
