What This Role Involves

As a Travel ICU Registered Nurse with American Traveler, you'll provide direct patient care in the intensive care unit, working within a collaborative team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff. This assignment spans 13 weeks of full-time employment, working 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule. Your role centers on delivering skilled nursing care to critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs, managing medical devices, and responding promptly to patient needs in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients throughout your shift
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Operate and maintain intensive care unit medical equipment and technology
• Document patient assessments and clinical interventions in medical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams on patient care planning
• Respond to changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to the clinical team
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families during critical illness

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in good standing
• Prior experience working in an ICU or intensive care setting
