Join American Traveler as a Travel ER Registered Nurse and bring your emergency care expertise to a busy hospital in New Haven, New Haven County. This is a full-time travel contract running for 13 weeks, with day shifts and a schedule of three 12-hour shifts each week (36 hours total). The assignment is slated to begin on July 24, 2026, and is based on-site in Connecticut — this position is not remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients arriving in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, triage, and prioritize cases based on acuity and changing clinical conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in line with physician orders and ED protocols.
• Monitor and stabilize patients experiencing acute illness, injury, or life-threatening events.
• Document care accurately and coordinate with the wider emergency and clinical team.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid for practice in Connecticut.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in an Emergency Department (ED) setting.
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Availability to start a 13-week travel assignment on or around July 24, 2026.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills under pressure.
